Wake up, wake up! It’s the 3rd of the moooonth.
I must say, we rang in the shortest, maybe coldest month of the year with quite a success. (High Five, yo!) Our expectations were surpassed at about 7:30pm. Charles Shaw’s booking agent pulled through, fans showed us their support in the greatest way possible, Adam created a great segue between a solitary yet vibrant showing of ‘Leon the Professional’ and the influx of our guests. Everyone recieved their promised high pives and Ashlyn did the worm!
Our gratitude for Saturday night cannot be measured. Thanks to everyone for coming out to crazy Bed-Stuy on the crazy trains; I surely felt the love and support from all. It was a pleasure hosting and performing. We’ll keep you posted for the next show, which I hear might take place in a grocery store. Jamaican patties anyone?

P.S. Hope you enjoy the live clip of “Cheer Up” beginning and ending with twobuck banter.
I posted the lyrics for this song about two months ago- and now we are presenting the master to you in full for the first. time. ever. Right here!
An article on Roberto BolaƱo’s recently translated novel 2666 was a big part of the inspiration for the words. Hopefully this is an encouragement to openmindedness and cutting-edge enterpreneuriship. Cheer up and charge forward, friends and foes!
Peace & Love, Emzzz
I know sometimes I don’t make sense at all.
We’re experimenting with 8-bit and one-liner songs: minimalistic songage.
If you feel so inclined, do let us know what you think.

Wow, I found this treasure the other day while sifting through my library of Joseph’s instrumentals. Writing about ice cream is such an innocent undertaking but then when you sing about it, it totally changes the original feeling :( HENCE!- Kelis’ “Milkshake” song. This was a sketch in early summer when I really wanted ice cream, simple as that!
We’ve been busy bees all week working on a new site and QC-ing the tracklist. The release date will soon be released! In the meantime, keep listening to our tunes via myspace and spreading the word about Sparkly Fin! Thank you for everything! -Emily
We’re AUTHENTIC. Yah, that’s what I said!
